Yard Sale. The Resident Council fund-raiser will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the HRS main office parking lot at 235 W. Jackson St. Find household items, décor and knickknacks, clothes of all sizes, furniture and appliances, books and more! 

Meeting. The Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the HRS main office from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Jerry Jolley and Brittiny Smith of Rural Development will present “Affordable Homeownership,” and they will share information on rural development programs and what they offer to low-income families. Council business this month includes counting of officer election ballots and planning for future events. Resident Council represents all public housing residents, and everyone is welcome to come. Attendance counts as four hours of community service. 

Ballot Information. Only public housing residents ages 18+ whose names appear on leases may vote and only once. Voting begins at 9 a.m. Sept. 2, and ends at 10 a.m. Sept. 9. Late votes will not be counted. If you need a ballot, please contact Resident Programs at 931.526.9793 ext. 212 or 213.
