Melinda's Memos. Annual recertification interviews for W. 6th, W. 7th, W. 8th and Cypress and Pine will be conducted in May. You should receive a letter with your appointment date and time and required documentation that you MUST bring to your interview.

Becky's Block. Just a reminder that local job listings are posted in the HRS main office lobby by noon Mondays. Please stop by to pick up a listing. Also, check out the Tennessee Career Center of Cookeville’s Twitter (@TNCCCookeville) for job announcements.

Kathy's Corner. If you have any leftover plastic Easter eggs, please consider returning those to Resident Services at the HRS main office so we can use them again next year. We may be able to pick them up from you, so just give us a call at 931.526.9793.

Quitting Time. Our Quit Smoking /Tobacco Cessation class will be held on Tuesday, May 13, and Tuesday, May 27, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the HRS main office, 235 W. Jackson St. The class is free and open to the public, and you can participate at any time. Each meeting counts as two hours of community service. Call Kathy at 931.526.9793 ext. 212 with any questions. In Celina, the Quit 4 Life Tobacco Cessation program meets every Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. Call Daphine Roach of Cumberland River Hospital at 931.243.5190 with questions or to register.

Maintenance Minutes. Annual inspections will continue during May. You will receive a notification. Also, mowing has begun! Please keep all toys, items and trash out of your yard and away from the mowers. Acres of mowing are done each week, and it is very time consuming to have to move items onto porches. 

Mother's Day. Don’t forget to wish your mom a happy Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 11.

Memorial Day. The office will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 26.
