April 2014 Announcements [1]

Melissa's Memos. If you live in Algood or on Buffalo Valley, Coffelt, Newman or Willow Valley Court streets and missed your recertification, please contact me at 931.526.9793 ext. 220 to schedule a makeup interview.

Becky's Block. Do you need to get caught up on community service hours, or do you want to get ahead on next month’s hours? HRS is offering 10 hours of community service opportunities this month in classes and meetings.

Kathy's Corner. Just a reminder  that the “Bountiful Bread” free bread distribution will be held during Resident Council meetings for all HRS residents. Please disregard the dates and places listed in your 2014 HRS calendar.

Resident Council. The council meets Tuesday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at the HRS main office. Johnnie Wheeler of the UCHRA Career Center will present information on job services, interview skills and a “Dress for Success Fashion Show.” Attendance counts as four hours of community service.

Dream Sweep Yard Sale. Come out to this nonprofit fund-raiser on Saturday, May 3, at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. Donations for the yard sale will be accepted until April 28. Resident Council has loads of items priced to sell.

Maintenance Minutes. Annual inspections will occur in Monterey. The grounds crew mows all summer, so keep toys and trash out of your yard. HVAC filters will be changed during the first week of June. Please use your yearly HVAC filters schedule for future reference.

Drug Take Back. Visit Cookeville’s Walgreens and CVS stores on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to drop off your old or unused prescription or over-the-counter medications. No needles (ex. insulin) accepted.
