Resident Council: Business and Babies [1]

Meeting: Tuesday, March 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the main office. Attendance counts as four hours of community service. 

Featuring: Tara Bates of Genesis House will present “The Dynamics of Abuse” before the council business meeting. Refreshments will be served.

Announcements: Council officers will visit Monterey sites during the week of March 16 through 22 to personally invite residents to participate in council activities as part of their “Meet the Council” program. 

Meanwhile, the council is still accepting donations for their second Annual Yard Sale fund-raiser until the first week of April. Items may be dropped off at the HRS main office. Pickup may be available; please call Becky at 931.526.9793 ext. 224. The yard sale date will be announced next month.

THE PRACTICAL PARENT

“Lunch and Learn” will be Tuesday, March 18, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the HRS main office. (Please use the community room entrance.) Jo Ward of the Stephens Center will present “The Practical Parent,” where she will cover stages of child development from infancy to age 5, help you to develop positive skills and share parenting tips. All residents are invited to this free class and lunch. Attendance counts as two hours of community service. Please call Shaquawana at 931.526.9793 ext. 213 if you plan to attend so she can plan the lunch accordingly.
