HRS has a limited number of clean, used chests of drawers. If any resident is in need of something to store clothing in, please call Misty at (931) 526-9793, ext. 224. Limit one per person with no current clothing storage drawers.

Misty's Minutes

Homeless and Hunger, held in October as part of Make a Difference Day, was a great success. Volunteers helped prepare 20 backpacks, which were distributed that day along with 97 additional backpacks filled with basic necessities being distributed through four area homeless outreach programs. I want to thank numerous donors, supporters and volunteers who made this event a success, allowing me to reach out to so many people. A big thank you goes out to Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ for the use of their facility on Make a Difference Day.

Senior Expo Congratulations to Gloria Miller of Cookeville, who won our Senior Expo door prize, a beautiful three-piece lighted candle set. Approximately 500 visitors stopped by the HRS booth at the Expo. What a great day!

Christmas Caroling Calvary Christian Church will do strolling Christmas carols at Walnut Village on Saturday, December 3, beginning at 5 p.m. Be watching and listening for the sweet sounds of Christmas in the air!
