Reminders: if you change your phone number, please call the office to let us know. Kiddie pools are not allowed. Be mindful of your children and pets, and do not let them play outside unattended or in the streets. Slow down while driving through developments, and watch for pedestrians.

Misty's Minutes

Walnut Village residents will meet Thursday, June 23, at 1 p.m. at the WV manager's office (#R-5) for “Smoke This, Not That.” All we can say is that it’s going to be good, so just come and see what it’s all about.

Don’t Quit, Just Come! Tobacco Cessation classes will not meet in June for summer break.

GED classes are held at the HRS Main Office community room, 235 West Jackson Street, Cookeville, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30- 10:30 a.m. Classes are free and open to the public, and everything you need is provided. One student is already two-thirds of the way toward having her GED! If you are currently living with HRS and working on your GED but would rather attend class here, let us know. For more information, please call me.

Attention Community Supporters: Are you cleaning out your kitchen cabinets or trying to figure out what to do with leftover yard sale items you really wish could go to a good use? We are in need anything for a kitchen: pots, pans, skillets, bakeware, serving dishes, electric can opener, colanders, measuring and cooking utensils, knives, cutting boards and tablecloths. Please call Misty if you have these items, or you may simply drop them off at the HRS Main Office.
