June 2014 Announcements

Melinda's Memos. If you live on W. 7th, W. 8th, Pine or Cypress and missed your recertification appointment in May, please contact me at 931.526.9793 ext. 220 to reschedule your interview. The office will be closed on Friday, July 4.

Becky's Block. We hope to participate in the AAAD’s food gleaning project this year. Green beans may be in soon, so watch our main office lobby and Facebook for announcements of when food giveaways are available.

Kathy's Corner. Just a reminder, the monthly bread distribution is now being held during Resident Council. Disregard the HRS 2014 calendar. You do not have to attend the meeting to pick up some bread, but we would love to have you!

Resident Council. Thank you to everyone who donated items or helped at the successful yard sale fund-raiser. Funds will be used to support classes and programs. The next meeting is Tuesday, June 10. Terry Moul of FSNB Bank will be speaking about identity theft at 10 a.m. Attendance counts as four hours of community service. Meanwhile, your officers will continue “Meet the Council” in Cookeville to promote council activities.

Maintenance Minutes. Keep all items out of your yard and away from lawn mowers. Siding replacement will continue on a unit at Walnut Village. Call the office with roach issues so pest control can treat your home. Do not leave open drinks and food containers around. Wipe down counters and clean floors regularly. All vehicles should be tagged and operable. Maintenance will be leaving notices on vehicles not in compliance.
