Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered ministry at Collegeside Church of Christ, located at 252 East 9th Street in Cookeville. The ministry strives to help people move beyond their hurts, habits and hang-ups. All are welcome, and one does not have to be a member at Collegeside in order to attend. This is a great resource to help you get started on the road to recovery. Past meetings have had as many as 140 in attendance.
Meeting times are:
Every Tuesday is open share night.
Dinner: 6 p.m. (free for newcomers; $2 for all others)
Meeting: 7 p.m. (praise and worship; a lesson or testimony)
Open Share: 8 p.m. (gender specific)
Step Studies (a Christ-Centered 12-step program):
Ladies: Wednesdays – 6-7:30 p.m; and Thursdays – 6:30-8 p.m.
Men: Wednesdays – 6:30-8 p.m; and Thursdays – 6:30-8 p.m.
Celebrate Recovery’s Statement of Safety: ANONYMITY and CONFIDENTIALITY are basic requirements of Celebrate Recovery. As we trust in Jesus Christ to love the real us, we can begin to take off our “masks” that we use to protect ourselves. For this to happen, these meetings must be in a safe place. Anything or anyone that you see in Celebrate Recovery stays there and is not shared outside each group.
