The position will begin the end of May and last for 10 weeks, 30 hours per week. AmeriCorps provides a living allowance and money for education while not affecting any current benefits.

“Stepping On” Falls Prevention Program Would you like to know more about preventing a fall? Falling is never good for anyone but can be especially damaging for an older person. The Putnam County Senior Citizens Center at 186 South Walnut Avenue, Cookeville, is offering a free class for anyone beginning April 6 (pre-registration day) from 1:30-3:30 p.m. every Thursday for six weeks. If you need more information, call the senior center at (931) 526-9318.
