Deia Burgess joined TNT when she was in the fifth grade. Deia says there were many things she loved about TNT, such as the help she received with homework to keep her grades up, fun trips including shopping for school clothes, and job training with stipend incentives. Deia is currently working in the food service industry with plans to attend Vol State for two years and then transfer to MTSU to major in special education while also pursuing cosmetology. She hopes to work with special needs individuals. We have enjoyed watching Deia “grow up” to become a confident leader in TNT. (pictured left)
Mikayla Price began TNT while in the ninth grade. She also has appreciated the homework and tutoring assistance, the fun trips — especially winter clothes shopping, and learning cooking and culinary skills. Mikayla recently began working in the food service industry and is looking at options to pursue her interests in either the food technology field or small animal care. We have enjoyed seeing Mikayla’s willingness to help others, always with a smile. (pictured right)
