Youth News: TNT's New Members Get Great Support

All TNT kids received a backpack full of school supplies this year.

Great Start for TNT. Our TNT after-school program is off to a great start. Officer Luke Ward with the Cookeville Police Department, who worked with TNT for several years, has retired and will be greatly missed. Meanwhile, we are excited to have Officer Anthony Leonard with us, along with Lt. Mike Smith.

The Cookeville Police Department co-sponsors TNT and provides uniformed police officers to act as mentors to the teens. Officers teach programs such as Internet safety and drug and alcohol abuse awareness. Their presence and work with TNT lets the teens know that law enforcement officers are their friends and provide mentors they can go to in times of need.

Thanks for Support. We want to thank numerous community supporters who are helping with funding or items that make the after-school program possible. All TNT kids received a backpack full of school supplies this year.

We are looking forward to a great year with: Brooklyn A.; Jayla A.; Jordan A.; Deia B.; Joi C.; Sabrina D.; Jameika F.; Kiara F.; Marlayna F.; Mia F.; Christian F.; Kimberly G.; Shawn H.; Garrett M.; Austin M.; Madelynn P.; Mikayla P.; Joscar R.; Richard R.; Star S.; Devonte T.; and Cody W.
