Sign Up: KIDS Matter & TNT Youth Programs

We are excited to begin a new year! Applications are being accepted for KIDS Matter and Teens Need Training after-school programs.

The Resident Services Department of Highlands Residential Services, along with the Cookeville Police Department provides after-school and summer programs for youth living in and around HRS public housing developments. Teens Need Training (TNT) provides our pre-teens and teens (grades 5-12) with after-school snacks, homework or tutoring assistance and a computer lab. At this time, we are only able to offer the TNT program in Cookeville.  TNT meets immediately after school on Mondays and Wednesdays.

KIDS Matter is an after-school reading program for children who are in grades K-4. KIDS Matter meets immediately after school on Tuesdays.

You must apply, be enrolled and follow program guidelines to participate in either program. Contact Shaquawana at (931) 526-9793, ext. 213, today for details! TNT and KIDS Matter will not meet if school is closed for snow or bad weather is approaching.
