The Teens Need Training after-school program resumed Aug. 12 with 22 HRS youth members. The teens love the new TNT meeting room makeover at 706 Pine Ave. in Cookeville. Later in October, TNT will host an open house for all to see. Please keep an eye open for upcoming details.

A Look Back at Summer
Every Tuesday, participants in the TNT summer program learned to prepare lunches with the Cookeville Health Department. TNT teens also enjoyed a meal prepared by the Tennessee Tech University Saudi Club.

HRS youth participated in other great programs this summer. For example, a visit from the University of Tennessee Jackson County Extension included a nutrition program presented to HRS children.

Several churches and the Cookeville Police Department hosted activities and lunch programs. Hot lunches were provided by the school system for children that live near 7th and Pine.
