This month, we say goodbye or perhaps a “see you later” to Lt. Mike Smith of the Cookeville Police Department, who retires January 31, 2016. Lt. Mike began his career in law enforcement on October 1, 1981. In May of 1999, he began working with the Teens Need Training program, and without him, the program would not be what it is today. Mike has shaped and changed the lives of countless youth, not just in TNT, but in the school system and our community, with his guidance and mentoring.

He will be greatly missed, and we hope he will still have time to visit with our programs.
