Great news is now being mailed directly to your home! Beginning this month, your HRS newsletter will be mailed to you each month although occasional information such as the 2016 calendar may still be left in your door.

Misty's Minutes

Bountiful Bread distribution will be Tuesday, November 10th, from 10:00 – 12:00 at the HRS main office community room.

Need a new or better job: Current area job postings are available weekly in the HRS main office lobby. L.I.H.E.A.P. Applications: UCHRA’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program applications are still being accepted at UCHRA offices, however the deadline has passed for possible winter energy assistance. For more information, please contact your local UCHRA office.

Social Security: For those who receive Social Security or SSI, you should receive proof of your income in the mail soon from the Social Security office. Please keep these papers in a location where you can find them. You will need this for many things in 2016, such as for proof of income for rent, DHS benefits, energy assistance, etc.

Veteran’s: Local Veterans Organizations will have a parade on Veteran’s Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11th beginning at 11:00 around the Putnam Co. courthouse and East Spring/East Broad Streets to the Veteran’s Building and an open house from 10:00 – 1:00. All veterans are invited to walk in the parade or come to the open house.

New Beginning Fellowship Church Food Pantry at 775 West Cemetery Rd., Cookeville will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m. Open to anyone, just bring a photo ID.
