Out With the Old: A New Name, a New Logo and a New Image

Dow Harris, Janey Dudney, Jim Martin, and Robert Owens

Admiring the new sign at the main office of Highlands Residential Services (HRS), formerly Cookeville Housing Authority, are, from left, HRS Executive Director Dow Harris with members of the HRS Board of Commissioners, Janey Dudney, chairman; Jim Martin, vice chairman; and Robert Owens.

The new name and the signage are part of an image update that also includes a new logo, website and newsletter.

The HRS board decided to make the changes because the organization has grown beyond its original mission of helping Cookeville-area residents find homes. Now it also offers skills training, mentoring programs and many more services to residents of Cookeville, Algood, Baxter, Celina, Gainesboro and Monterey.

“The residents in each of the towns we serve deserve the highest level of commitment and treatment we can offer, and we’re dedicated to continuing that,” said Highlands Residential Services Board Chair Janey Dudney. “We operate throughout the Highlands, and we are proud of all of our communities.”
